Inspired by the landmark Olmos Report of 1956, the estate began by clearing pastureland in Frankland River and planting its first vines, culminating in the establishment of the winery in 1988. Embracing the region’s cool-climate character, the focus has long been on crafting expressive Riesling, though Shiraz and Bordeaux-style blends have also earned strong acclaim.
The vineyards’ iron-rich, deeply colored soils lend the wines both elegance and underlying depth—delivering structure without sacrificing finesse. In 2010, the estate achieved full organic certification across all vineyard holdings, underscoring its commitment to sustainable viticulture.
